Medical rescuers’ occupational health during COVID-19: Contribution of coping and emotion regulation on burnout, trauma and post-traumatic growth

The COVID-19 pandemic places unique challenges to medical rescuers’ occupational health. Thus, it is crucial assess its direct and indirect impacts on key psychological outcomes adaptation strategies. This study aims analyse the impact of this coping emotion regulation strategies, their levels work-related outcomes, such as burnout, trauma post-traumatic growth. Additionally, contribution employed manage pandemic, A sample 111 rescuers answered Brief Cope, Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, Oldenburg Burnout Inventory, Impact Event Scale-Revised Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory. Medical resorted moderately since beginning COVID-19. They presented moderate burnout growth low trauma. Coping a higher weight growth, than regulation. Expressive suppression dysfunctional predicted trauma, problem emotion-focused Dysfunctional mediated and, thus, exacerbated effect expressive Practitioners should pay closer attention professionals with Occupational practices focus reducing promoting problem-focused coping.
